How does VR Rescue work?

By June 2026, we will train 100,000 people in first aid.

Because every minute counts – and in a crisis, a person is always a layperson first, not a rescuer.
The emergency service arrives on average in 15 minutes, and it is all about that time.
Our goal is for as many people as possible to know how to react when lives are at stake – without hesitation, with certainty, and correctly. Training in virtual reality takes only 15 minutes, but it can mean the difference between panic and saving a life. VR Rescue thus helps build a more prepared and courageous society, where everyone has #PowerToHelp.

VR Point

Plzeň will open the first public VR Point for first aid training. It will be possible to try to rescue a person in virtual reality for free at the city hall building in Kopeckého Sady.

VR helps in training first aid provision

Using virtual reality and artificial intelligence, people in Pilsen will learn first aid. This unique course will train anyone who is interested. According to the Czech Red Cross and the Pilsen University Hospital, this is the first such training in the Czech Republic.

Over 1000 people have learned to save a human life

A total of 1255 people capable of saving a human life. This is the result of today's VR Rescue 1000 event in Plzeň. Using virtual reality and artificial intelligence, it taught students and the public how to properly provide first aid.

Only every hundredth person can provide first aid. Now people can practice it in VR.

Virtual reality helps teach the basics of first aid in just a few minutes. In Plzeň, people can use special glasses and artificial intelligence to practice how to respond correctly in emergency situations and save lives.

A quick course in first aid, where artificial intelligence and virtual reality serve as instructors, of course guided by medical professionals. This is the so-called VR Point, which started serving the public for free in Pilsen, allegedly the first of its kind in the world.
